Dictionary of Technical Words: Vocabulary Building

Technical words are words that have specific meanings within a specific field of expertise. Technical language is a specialized type of written or oral communication. In this book, you will study and learn useful and common technical words, names of parts of speech they belong to and their meanings.

01 -- abductor [n.] -- a muscle used to pull a body part away from the midline of the body or from another part
02 -- aqueous humor [n.] -- a transparent water-like fluid inside the front part of the eye

18 -- coronary artery [n.] -- either of the two arteries (vessels) that supply blood rich in oxygen to the heart
19 -- corpuscle [n.] -- any of the red or white cells found in the blood of vertebrates

21 -- cranium [n.] (pl. craniums or crania) -- the large round superior part of the skull, made up of the cranial bones, that encloses and protects the brain
