Sensational Romantic Suspense with many Twists
Holy heck! Did You Miss Me? by Karen Rose is one creepy and disturbing suspense novel. I’m still reeling from the effects of plot twist whiplash, as there were two major twists I didn’t see coming (no spoilers here) that added stomach-dropping edge to this killer thriller.
I adored watching Daphne’s and Joe’s relationship unfold, and appreciated the theme of unconditional acceptance and value of earned trust. The Daphne/Joe romance harmonized well with the enthralling mystery and suspense of the book. This action-packed book allows you great exposure to the villains’s motivations and points of view, and boy are they perverse and vengeful.
I listened to the audiobook of Did You Miss Me?, which was wonderfully narrated by Marguerite Gavin. Marguerite’s voice perfectly captured the characters’ essence, bringing to life the fear, rage, depravity, hopefulness, love and triumph each felt. With Karen Rose’s writing and Marguerite Gavin’s narration, forever will the question “Did you miss me?” have sinister and chilling connotations. I can’t wait to read more from this outstanding romantic suspense series.
