Our narrator tries to tell the simple story of a Yeti called Digby. However, he's so easily spooked by the constant rumours of Digby and his legendary menace,that he keeps digressing onto unrelated subjects, including his Aunt Dirigibility, the marvelous Jo and Mo, Uncle Harnegan's pancakes, twitching geese and the responsibility of guiding down helicopters.In fact, were it not for a great cataclysm that threatens the valley and all its occupants, an event that reveals the true qualities of every man, woman and Yeti in the Watchout Valley, the book would never have been able to finish and would still be going on now.
