Publisher Description
Washington would rather be playing basketball in the tournament instead of traveling to East Texas for a family reunion. He hates to read, but takes off on his own with a book to satisfy his parents. Washington travels back to the past where he encounters his ancestor Square and witnesses the brutal punishment of a slave when he is caught reading. When he steps out of the circle of dirt, Washington fears he may never be able to return to the present or see his family again.

Dirt review
This novel of Dirt was a good story I felt like it had a good start then it got confuse with the time travel section felt like it lost me for a bit it had to reread it in order to understand the story but finally understood and it’s amazing. But overall I like how “read” is really importin in this novel. It is full with love Tiffanie Thompson did a great job on telling a message on how you need to “read”. the ending of the book was little disappointing it felt flat like to could have finished little better but I do hope there is a Sequel or a standalone about Washington. This is the first book that I read in one day it’s fun its interesting on like other books that have a slow start and takes too long to understand this actually has a message you will like it
