Katarina Svoboda's reign of terror has ended, allowing the city of Seattle to find peace once again. Now if Alexis can find the key to open the damn door in the basement, she can finally deal with the coven, which seems even more important now that Maxi is pregnant.

There are so many reasons to be happy with old friends returning and new family members being welcomed into the group, like the half brother Alexis never knew she had. Dealing with the coven has become a top priority to ensure everyone's safety, and with the people Alexis has around her, anything seems possible.

Yes, everything is moving forward nicely as Alexis gets closer to the closure she's needed until a new bad element moves into town. A self-proclaimed collector of rare things, he seems more powerful than any other vampire she's encountered. Unfortunately, he's not one to show his hand, at least not enough to figure out what he's up to. Once again, the city seems to be falling under attack from an unknown enemy, this one even more dangerous than the last.
