Publisher Description
If I’ve said it once in my life, I’ve said nine thousand times. ‘Stay away from your best friend’s sister!’ It worked for a while, until a college party. When that ended in disaster, I nearly had it tattooed on my forehead. We kept our distance after that, but I never filled that Avery shaped hole in my heart. Then my ‘brother from another mother’ tells me she’s here to take her position in the family company, and in she sweeps looking better than any of the fantasies I’ve had over the years. Fantastic. Cue the mantra. I don’t know why I think it’d work now. Avery isn’t someone you can ignore. She’s the world’s greatest distraction.
At one point, Luke was my everything. Our time together in college changed me on a molecular level and I was so sure we were destined to be that couple people wished they could be. Then reality slapped me in the face and my everything turned into a steaming pile of nothing. Fast forward two years, and all those Luke shaped molecules turn into Luke-haters. Now, he’s everything I hate in men. The top of my dating checklist says “Not Luke.” I don’t know why I think cannon balling back into his life is a good idea. At first, I just wanted to prove myself to him, and take my place at the company. But Luke’s a gorgeous distraction I don’t need, one I’m not sure my heart can handle.
Tropes: shared past, enemies to lovers, brother's best friend, best friend's sister, office romance, romcom, forced proximity, second chance, strong willed FMC, banter

😍😍
Distracting the Bosshole is a funny second chance at a first love tale. Luke and Avery have liked each other for ever. Now that Avery’s taking a more active role in the company, they can’t stand to be in the same room as each other because of their past.
This book was hilarious and I was sad to see it end, but I loved the banter and some of the scenarios Luke and Avery found themselves in. All the heart eyed emojis for this one.
Loving this series!
This book is part of a series and can be read as a sty but is best enjoyed by reading the other books in the series. I really thought that Kristin MacQeen’s books could not get any better, but this book proved me wrong! Avery and Lucas (Luke) have a complicated past. While Avery is Luke’s best friend’s sister, he knows better but cannot help himself. Things ended badly for them and Avery’s brother was none the wiser about their secret relationship.
Now Avery is back in Luke’s life and both are unsettled by that. Luke is tasked with training Avery in the company that she partially owns. The close proximity brings back memories for them as they both try to fight their mutual attraction.
I totally fell in love with this book! I loved the banter and even the immature hi jinx at times. Kristin’s books should definitely be enjoyed by more people!.

Loving me some Lucas!
Lucas and Avery FINALLY get their moment (and second chance). 😍💃🏻
After secretly dating in college, Lucas comes face to face with his ex, but forever love, Avery. As Owen’s sister, Lucas knew she was “off limits”, but he knew he couldn’t let her slip away again.
I absolutely love the banter between Avery and Owen. He is the classic overprotective big brother who just wants what is best for his little sister. Owen loves Lucas like a brother, but will he accept him for Avery?? 👀
I absolutely love Luke and how he is bringing his bosshole to the game at long last. 🙃
Can’t wait to see the rest of the series! 💕.
