Publisher Description
Time doesn’t always heal a broken heart. Sometimes the only thing it does is fill the darkness with more shadows, more pain.
Dylan Thomas has spent the past decade living in the shadows, mourning the loss of his wife, his best friend, his very reason for breathing. He long ago accepted that he would never feel again, that he was damned to a world without light, without hope. That was the day the bottle won, and he gave himself over to the darkness.
Until the one night that rocked his brittle, crumbling world on its axis. She told him what they shared was simply a distraction, a way to forget for a little while. It would’ve been, except the tiny glimpse of how it feels to live again, to feel again, gives him the strength he needs to pull himself up by his boot straps. But sobriety comes one day at a time, and three years later may be three years too late.

Distraction
Loved it! Club Destiny was the first series that I read from Nicole Edwards which makes it all the more bittersweet as it now comes to an end. It certainly has ended with a bang! Thank you Nicole for telling us Dylan's story. So many issues that many face in life were brought forth in this book, depression, alcoholism, guilt and fear. Dylan and Sarah both had a lot to overcome and each had different struggles but shared the commonality of losing a spouse who they loved deeply. Each knew they needed to move on and made the changes necessary to do so. It certainly wasn't smooth sailing to reach their ultimate reward...a second chance at love. Nicole has once again brought forth wonderful characters and a story that I am sure you will enjoy! I voluntarily reviewed an Advances Reader Copy of this book.
When Distractions become second chances
Club Destiny was one of the first series I read when my book addiction started a few years ago. I was hooked from Conviction! And when this series started integrating with the Walker Brothers I was done! Nicole had quickly become one of my favorites!
Anyway...what better way to end this series than with a love story so sweet, so honest & so freaking HOT!!!
Dylan & Sarah were high school sweethearts, each with a past of lost love that hardens their hearts & causes them to put up walls, who find their way back to each other for a Distraction that is destined to be forever. With it's plot twists & unexpected characters (one in particular), this story made me laugh & cry & got my husband REALLY lucky!! Toss in another sex club & BAM, let the sparks fly.
I can't wait to see where Nicole goes with the next series. I know she'll have some hot characters that will knock your socks off!
Great Love Story
Distraction is the final book in Nicole Edwards Club Destiny series. It’s bittersweet for me because the first book I ever read of hers was Conviction, book one in the series. Such a good ending to the series!
This is the story of Dylan and Sarah and I admit I was worried about this book because we all know how Dylan has struggled with depression and alcoholism. I should’ve know better because Ms. Edwards has written antoher wonderful story and will take you on an emotional ride while dealing with depression, alcoholism, death, guilt, and ever fear, but also forgiveness and love. This story was a long time coming and so worth the wait.
