The only thing less exciting than learning about dithering is probably a documentary on the history of long division. Therefore, in what could be a futile attempt to make this more entertaining, we've titled each section using a lyric from a song. You probably never knew there were so many songs about dithering, noise shaping, and bits.

A must for any professional engineer
I have been working in music long enough to see the evolution of digital recording. Sadly, there are many people out there who own some really nice equipment but do not have a clue how to use it.
There are also many people out there who have no idea how any of the effects or processors work and to make matters worse, they won't take the time to learn why there recordings sound thin and shallow and the professional recordings sound full and engulf the listener.
This manual is a great instruction book on the importance of dithering, how it works, and how to approach it correctly. It is a must read for anyone who is serious about sound quality.
If the people at izotope could expand and come out with a bunch of mini manuals that covered a wide away of topics, I would own then all.
