The 30,000 word unedited version of the work, complete with 123 extra pages of fascinating rough notes, came to light as the unmatchable Echo archive was searched with the full support of the newspaper in an effort to find fresh material for this anniversary book.  Every word of this  “treasure”  is included in a publication that will ensure Evertonians truly know the inside history of a football icon.
