Do not give up

It all began with a tough test of illness when I felt the call of God to write this book, to talk about my story throughout my life. It started at a very difficult moment; it was like those winter days when it is cloudy, and you see that the sun does not shine or give its light. That is how I felt my reality at that moment; I felt that my life did not glow anymore, as if nothing made sense. At that precise moment, I immediately began to cry at the feet of Christ, recognizing that I had no strength but that in Christ, I could do everything because he gave me new strength to continue.

Without Jesus, it is impossible to continue in difficult moments because the human mind always says no when it is in times of worry. But if Jesus is in our lives, nothing, absolutely nothing, can stop us from continuing, even if the problem, the struggle, and the trial are significant.

It hurts my heart to say that we must go through struggles and trials; nobody wants that in their life. God could prevent that from happening, but he allows it for a purpose, and that purpose is the best for our lives. Those trials bring us closer to God and help us to be grateful to him, to not forget that everything we have is because he has given it to us.

Years ago, I believed that God's love was based on our behavior and that I should not make mistakes so that he would not be angry with me. I thought I needed to be perfect to please God and that my trials resulted from my failure. However, I was mistaken; God's love is unconditional and not based on my behavior. He loves us unconditionally; he loves us just as we are. Trials are part of our lives because they push us to change, be better people, and get closer to God. We don't have to be perfect for God to love us or to serve him; no one is perfect; only God is. Why did I call this book, Don't Give Up? You may be familiar with this theme, but I want you to know that it is the result of many struggles in my life.

I also want to tell you that it is easy to give up, but getting up is only for the brave; indeed, only the brave get up again. I gave my life to Jesus when I was nine years old, and I want to tell you that although now I am not where I would like to be, I am not where I was and have been changing little by little. If I had not met the Lord at that age, I don't know where I would be today, but thanks to God's mercy, he found me and saved me. In the darkest night of my life, when there was no more hope, Jesus came into my life.

Honestly, I tell you with all my heart that day, my life changed completely. No matter what you are going through right now, maybe a divorce, the death of a loved one, an illness, a bankruptcy, perhaps you don't have money to pay your bills, maybe you need a house to live in and can't afford it... Please don't give up; there is still hope. This book was written to strengthen your faith so that through Jesus, you will receive your miracle.
