Nathan looked up back at the nurse. "Is this normal?"

Stacy nodded. "Everything is happening as it should. There is nothing to worry about."

"Now then, my formula should begin to alter the subject's body any second now. My dear boy, you'll see why you had to look through a picture book of naked women in just a few more seconds."

Nathan looked down at his naked torso and his heaving chest. Even while his mind was racing a thousand miles a second, his breathing had slowed so much that there was a long pause between inhales and exhales. Even when he was about to fall asleep he had never seen his breathing rate be so slow. It was almost scary in a sense.

Out of the corner of his eye he saw the doctor scoot over and peek in closer between his upper thighs. From this angle he couldn't see his lower body at all, but he could certainly witness the old man inspecting something important down there.

"It has started!" the man exclaimed. With a careful finger, he poked at the source of the area beginning to transform. "As part of my revolutionary serum, the changes begin near the site of the injection." He looked up at the nurse and then back at Nathan. "I won't say anything in detail for fear of you having a heart attack, but you'll see soon enough."
