All Heart
I have no idea what it means to be a rock star but Steven Tyler gives me a grand picture. He tells us of the tender boy, then the wilder child - through the twisted, treacherous, derailed life of rockers living the stereotype that makes for great songs. He lived "for real" the things we live vicariously from a safe distance. I admit, I would never, as a 40-something small town Mom, have read this book without seeing his charm on American Idol. But as my eyes popped out my head, I just wanted to listen to the songs I never took notice of before. Who would thought I would become a Steven Tyler lover?
Read about his home, his band, his wives and the Grand Finale, the love he has for what matters most, his family. I saw the Every Man. I cried over the words of his mom, I laughed at his slaying descriptions of his menagerie; the "zoo animals" in his 40+ year career.
I think you should read this book.
Interesting
Steven Tyler has quite a past.
I found myself pulled in, and I'm not surprised
Love the unique yet familiar voice this book has. I found it impossible not to relate to some of the stories and references, which made it all that much more enjoyable. Even if you can't relate to the city/country boy upbringing, acid twisted laughs, the rock, or the roll. You'll probably find yourself sucked in by the wild and lovable attitude of Steven Tyler. It has a genuine feel that let's you know he worked hard on this book, and also had a lot of fun digging in his memory. I know I did!
