Great read!
Severely Underrated
Jeff Edwards really did a fantastic job with this one. His anything-but-typical detective fiction could be set in a multitude of time-periods, but the dystopian future in 2063 just adds a certain something. Instead of boring the reader with the same old crime story, the timelessness of Edwards’ tale paired with the not-so-futuristic tech creates a fresh new perspective on this genre.
I would recommend to anyone who enjoys dystopian themed stories, and/or detective dramas similar to the style of Sherlock Holmes. Certainly an unusual pairing, but with this novel it definitely works.
Sam Spade meets Shadowrun
Amazing book - well-written with a tight plot and compelling characters. Readers will enjoy trying to solve the crimes - all clues are in the story of a slightly rusty private detective who takes on the roll of white knight.
