Christmas -- it's a time for giving, spending time with loved ones, and spreading holiday cheer… but NOT for being a jerk! Sing along as SpongeBob SquarePants and friends take a festive romp through Bikini Bottom set to the lyrics of the hit song, "Don't Be a Jerk — It's Christmas" from the stop-motion sensation, "It's a SpongeBob Christmas!"
What is with the bad reviews?
The movie is awesome. Also, if your child is like, nine, they would know not to call anybody a jerk. Seriously, I’m eleven years old. Also, it is teaching kids something. It’s teaching them to be nice to everyone all year round, and don’t be greedy. If your kid can’t handle it, maybe tell them not to call anyone a jerk. Seriously, this book is not bad or inapporpite.
First of all, I've never thought spongebob really did anything but entertain kids. It doesn't teach kids, it doesn't inspire them in fact it does the opposite by saying things like "don't be a jerk it's christmas", and then even having the nerve to title a book and song that way. This makes kids think that "jerk" is a normal word and they can use it freely which will ultimately get them in trouble. For spongebob to appeal to 6 year olds they need to stay away from crude language like that. I've had experience from spongebob's crudeness. When I was maybe about 6 years old, spongebob said patrick was stupid. I got mad once and called my mom stupid which of course is not a good idea. The same thing can happen to other kids because they don't relize the difference between cartoons and real life. Television shows for children shouldn't just be about entertainment. It should teach kids a little, give them encouragement to do their best, and entertain them.
Spongebob is great (or at least it was)
Spongebob is MEANT to entertain kids, it’s not supposed to teach them stuff. It’s supposed to make them laugh! And while parents should balance the stupid with the smart, I feel that Spongebob is a great show for children. Also stupid and jerk are not ‘crude’ I mean seriously? Who calls there mon stupid, that’s just asking for it if you ask me.
