Publisher Description
Monica Rose Mitchell Downing is a graduate of Nicholls State University with a B.A. Degree in Secondary Social Studies Education. She currently teaches 7th Grade American History at Franklin Junior High School in Franklin, LA. She always loved writing and dreamed of becoming a published author. Monica began to write poetry in high school, stories and articles in college, songs in 1999, and the book later on. Monica gave her life to Christ in high school as a result of life experiences that drove her to the Lord. She realized that writing was "therapeutic" as she kept a diary and began to write about lessons she learned, especially after the passing of her husband, Brenden C. Downing, Sr., in 2003 that left her a widow at age 31 and a single and blessed mother of Christian Monique Downing and Brenden C. Downing, Jr. Monica is the youngest of ten children born to Ulysses and Bessie Mitchell.
Monica just wants to praise God for sustaining and blessing her through tough times. She gives God all glory and honor. She prays that reading this book will encourage or convince you that there is no life without God and if you don't know Christ you should allow Him into your life and if you do know Him you should grow closer and develop your personal relationship with Him. Be sure to share your testimonial encounters with God with all you come in contact with. Seek God first and everything else will be added.
