Don't Look Back

Dan Shale rides from the war-torn states after he receives a letter from an uncle in trouble who lives in Texas. En route, he is captured by a mountain clan and escapes by killing one of them. Shale is befriended by Mulie, a mountain man. They are accused of rustling and almost hung. After arriving in Stonebluff, they learn that Shale's uncle has been killed. Shale is sentenced to prison on a trumped-up robbery charge and escapes en route. He helps an Indian boy and takes him back to his Comanche camp and spends the winter. When the snow clears, Shale rides back to clear his name.
