Publisher Description
Rabbit Doubt-a mobile phone game-has taken Japan by storm. In it, players are rabbits who must uncover the wolf in rabbit's clothing before falling prey to its mistrust-sowing wiles...as well as its teeth. When a group of teen players decides to meet offline for fun, the last thing they expect is to lose consciousness and wake up trapped in an abandoned building, mysterious bar codes tattooed on their bodies, and a corpse strung up in front of them. To stay alive and find a way out, they have but one option-to sniff out the lying wolf in their midst. Will these virtual acquaintances be able to pull it together in the real world and figure out what's going on in time to avoid ending up as the wolf's dinner?

Slow and confusing to start
Quite different than what I was expecting would happen. Most of the story seemed to be progressing a bit slowly. Not much character development, but an interesting mystery develops as the book progresses. It was a little hard to find the personality of a few characters, particularly Yuu; he seems to be switching between many different moods and states of mind, which I found a bit confusing.
Parts of the story in the middle were also a bit confusing to follow, but I eventually understood as I continued forward. It seems the story gradually grew and grew, approaching the point where we learn why the characters have become trapped in the creepy abandoned building.
Despite this first volume (Books 1 & 2 together (4books total for the series)) being quite slow and confusing, I’m still in, and am ready to see how the game will end in the final volume (Books 3 & 4 together). I’m still willing to venture on!
