We’ve always been drawn to the heroine's persistence and dedication to pursuing justice as the sole female officer in a region dominated by hardheaded men. The ninth book in the series set in the Amish country of northeastern Ohio, Down a Dark Road revolves around a cold murder case where the primary suspect happens to be Kate’s closest childhood friend.
