Downstream: Poems

Downstream is a collection of poems that navigates the inheritances that shape us, the family and stories that we carry and that carry us. A kitchen conversation yields a moment of regret instead of a chance to bond; a family meeting to plan the holidays sails past inspiration into humor. The poems give us a chance to name the legacies we swim through as we build our lives, to explore the currents that run through, parenthood, adulthood, and the modern world.
