Dragon Girl

Dragon Girl is the dramatic portrayal of a young girl's life during a most tumultuous time in China's modern history. Siau Mei grows up as a young child in a small Chinese village where life is simple and centuries of traditions reign. With her parents doting on her spoiled, younger brother, smart and spirited Siau Mei finds herself often at odds with her family. After she moves to Canton in grade school, she is exposed to a more progressive city life that enables her to discover a new way of thinking. Soon the Second Sino-Japanese War breaks out, and her life is turned upside down as she desperately fights to live her dreams.
