Male behavior gets skewered. It was a little bit sappy but I loved it.

Awesome Book - Don't Miss Out!!!

I was luck enough to get a copy of this book for free on Amazon. I'm so glad that I decided to read the book because I loved it so much. Dragons are dragons usually but thish story gives you a llok into who they are, how they think, and why they think what they think, and finally how they live and love.

Bastion and his kind are cursed by a goddess to live one hundred thousand years during which they will endlessly wait and hope for the one woman that might be their true mate. If they find her the curse for for him will be lifted. So every 100 years the dragons come and select a new claiming bride that will remain with them until their dying day. Unknown to anyone the dragons feel deeply for their life companions and suffer greatly and mourn deeply when they die. Acasia doen't cower and simper to Bastion even at the first she rears up and gets in the dreaded dragons face with her sass. Bastion and Acasia have a ways to go during which time they will learn to trust, to understand their dragon and he does the same with her. For each dragon and his claiming bride hopefully love will find the pair for however long it lasts.

This book was wonderfully written with great detail and vibrant rich characters that you find yourself feeling for. Bastion and Acasia's interactions are funny, fast, and snappy. The other dragons are present and you find yourself looking forward to their stories. The book took me to lofty heights, plunged me into anger and sadness. It made me laugh and hope and I even cried my eyes out in a couple of spots but I'm a real sucker for a great story. I'll definitely be putting the rest of the books in this series on the top of my wish list and I'll be on the lookout for other works by this author. Read, experience, and enjoy the book.
