Lieutenant Detective John E. Walker – houseboat owner, lucky winner of the cop’s trifecta, and professional burn-out - is quick to find out that archeology is not involved when he recovers a mummy from a sand trap at the Portland, Oregon Country Club. Instead, he chases alligators in slimy sewers, discovers a thing for women in perfectly tailored pants, and meets a psychotic serial killers that love to get back in a big way.


Coroner Harley Racin, MD does not really help John with the stiffs or the murder investigation, either, other than with the obligatory whiskey and seedy relationship advice that does more harm than good. So when the Siren Song comes into play, the sails are set for disaster…
