Dreamer

"I'm fading,

Dreams are not meant to be put in a box,

to be hidden away behind doors, lids or locks.

Dreams have to be fueled; they need love to grow.

I forgive you, I do, but it's my time to go."

The boy wept and worried and wondered aloud, 

"What's wrong with me-

why did I let my fear snuff out something I loved so dearly?"

"Next time will be better," he promised, 

"I am braver now."
