Awesome Sauce!
I simple enjoyed every nook and cranny of this book! KMM won me as a fan for life! Not only do I admire Mac! But it page had me racing to the end of the book. If you didn't get....you're missing out!!
Bloated story, borders on offensive
This is the fourth of a five book series that tells one story. Each book ends with a cliff hanger, mid-scene, encouraging the reader to continue on. This book cannot stand alone, yet is bloated with extended summaries from the previous installments. This should have been a three book series, but the author drags it out across five.
(SPOILERS) The book opens with the gang rape of the main character. The "cure" to getting her through it is to have unwilling sex with the hero for several chapters, after which the hero constantly reminds her that they had copious amounts of copulation while she was out of her mind. Despite her main motivation in the series being vengeance, neither the heroine nor the hero ever seeks out her attackers or tries in any way to get revenge or retribution.
Liked it but...
Holy cow so wordy! I understand giving a recap for those new to the book or to remind readers but in each book so far I’ve been able to skim/skip at least 20 pages because a full summary is given! Heck, don’t even read the previous books because the next one will tell you in detail everything that happened! Love the storyline just hate having to skip through 1/3 of the book.
