StarHearts, as fans of Josephine Angelini call themselves, will stay up all night reading Dreamless, the second book in the bestselling Starcrossed series. The saga mixes mythology, romance, action, and intrigue in a completely original way.
Dreamless continues the story of Helen Hamilton, a shy girl living on Nantucket Island whose desire for an ordinary life was thwarted when she discovered she is a Scion, a descendant of a Greek god and a mortal. Each Scion has a power, and Helen’s is the ability to travel to Hades.
Helen is determined to use her talent to stop a war amongst the gods and change her destiny, which is to live a life patterned after that of the tragic Helen of Troy. But her quest may cost her Lucas Delios, the boy she loves.

Never want this story to end!
I’ve read the entire series multiple times. It’s a beautiful and exciting tale. Full of action, passion, love, and twists and turns that keep you on the edge of your seat. I hope deeply in my heart this amazing author writes more books to add onto this series. Every time I finish reading it I wish there was another book in this trilogy I can pick up!
Disappointed
I LOVED Starcrossed. The character development, the story, the Greek mythology really worked for me. I was very excited to read the sequel. However, this sequel I found disappointing. I felt that the reader (me) had a lot of time invested in the characters or Book 1. I especially enjoyed the interaction of Helen and Lucas. To add a love triangle and to never get back to the lies that the reader became aware of at the end of Book 1 seemed very silly. It made this book seem more like a waste of time and a filler than a way to move the story along. Adding Orion took us away from the main characters and relationships that the author built in the first book. I seriously hope that the third book gets us back to the main group of characters and that Helen and Lucas are able to get together in the end! Anything else would be tragic.
