Publisher Description
In a world where emotion can be a deadly weapon, one slight, battered runaway holds the key to a dark and twisted enigma. . .
Drink of me, she whispers, her silver eyes trusting, pleading. What female dares speak such words to one of the Sánge? His people are scorned by every race for their fierce sensuality, their fearful rituals. And as Prime, Reule is the most telepathically gifted of them all.
But nothing has prepared him for the intensity of emotion radiating from the outlander rescued by his Pack. Terrified, tormented, but beautiful beyond measure, Mystique shatters his legendary control. As she reaches for him in the steamy heat of the healing baths, he knows this blind need can have but one end. . .
In blood, in knowledge, in ecstasy.

PUBLISHERS WEEKLY
Romance fans will need a taste for the dramatic to enjoy the latest stand-alone paranormal from bestseller Frank (Stealing Kathryn). Reule is the Prime of the S nge, a fanged and clawed tribe of telepathic warriors. While recovering a packmate who was kidnapped and tortured by enemy Jakals, he senses a woman nearby. Carrying her out of hiding, he is confounded: he doesn't recognize her race, she has been beaten and battered, and she has amnesia. He offers sanctuary and names her Mystique, and before long they discover she's an empathic healer with psychic powers. After the Jakals attack and kidnap another pack member, two of the S nge are injured, and Mystique can save only one, causing a dangerous rift that threatens Reule's ambition to make Mystique his Prima. Plenty of melodramatic prose, unabashed sex, consistently intriguing characters, and strong world-building will satisfy Frank's fans.

Great read
Intense read, made me want to know the story for all of the characters.
Captivating
Very well-written. The story is fast paced, and the characters are wonderfully thought out. It was very difficult not to try and read the whole book in one sitting!
