Durga Puja

Durga Puja – the festival of Goddess Durga – is one of the important festivals of India. This nine-day festival coincides with Sharad Navaratras and concludes on the day of Dussehra. During the pious days of Durga Puja, huge idols of Goddess Durga are placed and worshipped in the beautifully decorated pandals. This beautiful festival celebrates the victory of Goddess Durga over the most dangerous and evil demon Mahishasura. It reminds us that the goodness always wins over the evil. The evil is perishable and short lived while goodness prevails forever.
