Publisher Description
Dust Bunny Sock Monster is a wonderful modern-day parable encouraging children to clean up their rooms by featuring the whacky antics of a sock-stealing, kleptomaniac dust bunny. This edifying story was written by Sara Rawlins, a retired nurse and doll-maker living near Atlanta, Georgia. Drawing real-life inspiration from her granddaughter Koko, Sara has crafted a smart tale that suspends reality in a wonderfully creative manner while celebrating the intelligence and fortitude of youth.
The remarkable illustrations are by Bhavna Bhen, a talented painter and digital artist with an inspiring story of her own. Nearly twenty years ago Bhavna was working as a professional actress in Los Angeles when she was struck by a crippling stroke that left her paralyzed and unable to walk or use her dominant hand. After years of slow and painful rehabilitation she taught herself to paint, igniting a new spark of creativity. She eventually attended Full Sail University and graduated valedictorian with a degree in graphic arts.
