Life as a backdrop has its rewards.
Miss Brianna Silverton not only prefers life in the background—she depends on it. It is far easier to decide upon a proper husband for her younger sister that way, plus, it keeps her rooted as the spinster she is determined to be. She has secrets to hide, and she isn’t about to let another man touch her—never again.
He knew it the very moment he saw her.
A constant wanderer, the Earl of Luhaunt,Sebastian Rallager, never paused in one place for long. Not until the moment he saw Brianna across a crowded ballroom floor. Instinct had never failed Sebastian, and he knew it instantly—she was his. Now he just had to convince her of that fact.
Fate always finds a way.
Just as Sebastian begins to see that staying in one place might be exactly what he had been searching for, secrets of the past loom. Because Brianna is not only hiding herself from the world, she is hiding secrets that cannot see the light of day. Secrets that could destroy her, and the one man determined to love her.

Really loved the entire series
Earl of Destiny
I have lost track of how many times I have read the second or third book in a series and asked myself a question: how can the first in series be such a great read and the following books in the series be such a waste of time to read? K.J. Jackson's stories and characters are unique. The relationships between the characters are strengthened from one book to the next. She writes some of the best books in historical romance. Read "Worth of a Duke" first and then "Earl of Destiny." I can hardly wait to start "Marquess of Fortune". It's going to be a short night of sleep and a long day at work tomorrow/today.

Wonderful...do u believe in the fates? Do you love the magic moments life has to offer? This is a love story of great depths based on absolute trust . Each character has layers to discover. Nothing is as it appears. I loved this story; Brianna's strength,Sebastian's patience, and Lilly's unwaveringly loyalty . KJ Jackson has filled this strong story with intense emotions. Her description of the era transports you back to the point where you become part of this family. This story goes beyond the typical romance novel.Read this! You will love it . You will read it and reread it.
