Time closes into two luminous loops.

Early repeatedly arrives at the same terrible moment, but each return belongs to a different life. In one version he escaped the tavern. In another he never entered. In a third, Christopher is the character and Early holds the pen.

The loops touch at a single radiant instant buried inside the Core. Every attempt to change that moment sends Early into the other cycle, carrying fragments of memories that should not exist together.

Christopher searches for the sentence binding the loops. The unseen author protects it with revisions, false endings, and pages that return to the beginning whenever they are read.

Breaking the cycle could free every version of Early—or collapse their lives into one final memory.
