Easygoing Territory Defense by the Optimistic Lord: Production Magic Turns a Nameless Village into the Strongest Fortified City (Manga) Vol. 3

What can I say besides the manga continuing to be so good! Manga cinematography, story pacing, the illustrations of impacts, humor and sincerity. Props to the adaptation including show-don’t-tell hints about Lady Arte’s reactions to Van and his circumstances originally told from her own POV sometime after the actual first meeting. Smart work!

I did roll my eyes a bit at Lady Cayenne’s character designs being more revealing. It is definitely not practical for combat. I can get it visually communicating how eye candy she is from Van’s perspective (male lead character, inwardly 30+ years old). Since Van describes Lady Cayenne as “American dream girl” the design does seem to reflect the idea it’s talking about. I can work with that even if I still don’t care for it :).
