Tension Enters, in the Good Way
It was great to have the tension kick up immediately from internal threats pointing their weapons against Van from the shadows. And in the middle of war no less!
Van had opportunities to show off, even too much and have his ally Lady Cayenne give stern advice. It’s good to see the protagonist experience some weaknesses and partners correct them.
I was satisfied when a prediction I had from last volume started being fulfilled in this one.
Once again the extra chapters fill out events that happened during the main story. We get to see more out of core characters and learn things that happened during the away from Van’s notice.
I’m ready and waiting for Volume 5 in July!
