EDP 370 Handbook

This ebook is a companion guide for NC State University's EDP 370: Applied Child Development course.  The course is structured as five units.  Our exploration of each unit is guided by a question that we seek to answer in our integrated field reports / reflective journals 1) Role of Context & Culture,  2) Self and Identity Development,  3) Developing Concepts 4) Assessing Developmental Appropriateness, and 5) Developmental Approaches to Classroom Management.  In structuring the readings and topics, we hope that you will come to see the importance of understanding children's developmental goals and limitations in shaping the quality of their motivation, learning, instruction, and evaluation.
