Elf Wish

Widow Mallow rescues Pascal, an Elf from the North Pole who was injured in a rockslide. Since the Elves and the Dwarves in the vale do not mingle, she hides him from her neighbors, but passion flares between them. They have no future; she knows he will return to the North Pole. That, and the knowledge that he will always be lame, nearly break her heart, but she will enjoy their time together, and she has her children to live for...

Pascal has never used his One Wish granted by Santa. Mallow rejoices when she learns of it--he can have his foot truly healed.
