Publisher Description
Embellishing Eloquence is the story of Bryce James, a free speaking 17-year-old trying to find his place in the unrelenting and confusing world of adolescence. As the novel opens, Bryce is discovering that rebellion is not as charming as it is in the movies. With an ever-widening gap between he and his father, due mostly to his mother’s passing, he is sent to live with his older brother, Nicholas. With a fresh slate, in a new environment, his character begins a turnaround, propelled by his brother’s new-age way of raising him. Along with the new environment, new people enter his life, transforming his views on his generation, the gap between adolescence and adulthood, and the need to retain one’s individuality in order to play a valuable role within society, not to drop out of it. Embellishing Eloquence starts out as a roller coaster, and somewhere along the way, transitions into a nice drive on a warm and sunny day.
