What an Amazing Journey
Even tho this book is listed as YA, I had to read it! Jake kept posting snippets on facebook and finally I said "what the heck" and read it (I usually pre read the books I get my teen...can't be too careful) . I didn't expect to love it as much as i did. Jake has a very smooth writing style, you can get lost in his words and forget the outside world exists. Breena is my kind of heroine- strong, knows what she wants and what she does not want...I wish all the heroines in YA books were as gutsy as her! The villans are truly despicable, you can sink your teeth into your hatred for these nasty, evil miscreants! I love how Jake has paralleled Breena's trials in the hospital with where ever her brain has gone...You know she is really not where she thinks she is,but at the same time, you are cheering for her in Araboth to keep succeeding! I read somewhere that he is a world builder....and I agree...Jake is going to be an author to keep an eye on...I will buy anything he writes...Amazing people, just amazing. Give Empyreal Illusions a try....the best is yet to come with this series...and I for one, can't wait!
Amazing fantasy story!
Jake Bonsignore crafts a lovely story. His book is masterfully done with tons of little Easter eggs which can't be found on just one read through. Even if this isn't your normal genre (it wasn't mine either) give this book a shot. You'll be glad you did.
Something like I have never read before!
Breena Taljain's strength and courage is something we all strive for. This book is the most detailed descriptive fantasy I've read in a long time. Jake paints a beautiful world with breath taking descriptions. I was consumed by the story and by Breena. I would love to spend a day inside Jakes head..... This author has stories to tell and I can't wait to read the next!!!!!! Don't miss out on this book.
