Bea Finally Gets Her Man!
This is the much anticipated book from the fabulous Christ Caldwell’s Scandalous Seasons series featuring Beatrice Dennington. Although the book contains returning characters from previous books, the reader is able to follow along if this is their first time reading this series. I do guarantee that you will want to go back to the start after this story.
Beatrice, has suffered through 12 London seasons and although many gentlemen have courted her, they have ultimately chosen other women leaving her humiliated and gossiped about over the years. While visiting her family’s country estate in Scotland she hatches a plan that will allow her to be left alone during the coming season, a fictional beau!
Hamish Campbell, has just returned to Scotland from the penal colony in Australia, where he was sent after being wrongly convicted of crimes against the English crown. Determined to right the wrongs enacted against his family and avenge the deaths of his father and older brother he sets out for London.
Having left letters for her love hidden in a cave, she is horrified when her fictional love turns up at a ton event with them in his hands!
Hamish explains his situation to Bea and they agree to help each other. As expected there is complications along the way, that lead to danger for our hero and heroine. Ultimately they fall in love and after a few bumps they get their happy ever after. I thoroughly enjoyed this story, I am a huge fan of Christi’s writing and this does not disappoint. I highly recommend this book, whether you are a returning or new reader.
