This book will be helpful if you are working in a restaurant and you want to help your non English speaking customers with a very basic description of the dishes on the menu. Also if you are travelling abroad and you want to tell the restaurant staff or a shopkeeper what you want to eat or buy. My knowledge of the Japanese language is no more than what is contained in this book. It is enough knowledge for me to be able to help my Japanese customers decide what they want to eat. All I do is point to a dish on the menu and say the keyword, for example "Tori" for chicken, "kaki" for oysters and so on.
