Entertaining Time: A Jazz Divan

In short lyrics with playful, jazzy rhythms, these poems explore facets of the human experience of time, from impatience and anticipation to remembrance, wonder, aging, and a sense of mortality. Many of them engage with the natural world: birds, animals, insects, and a variety of trees. Often intimate, they range from reflective seriousness to outright goofiness, sometimes indulging these extremes but more often playing them together.
