A man and a woman tread the lines of danger, desire, and deliverance in this novel of the Fallen Angels—from the #1 New York Times bestselling author of the Black Dagger Brotherhood series.
As the son of a serial killer, homicide detective Thomas “Veck” DelVecchio, Jr., grew up in the shadow of evil. Now, on the knife-edge between civic duty and blind retribution, he atones for the sins of his father—while fighting his inner demons.
Assigned to monitor Veck is Internal Affairs officer Sophia Reilly, whose interest in him is both professional and arousingly personal. And Veck and Sophia have another link: Jim Heron, a mysterious stranger with too many answers to questions that are deadly. When Veck and Sophia are drawn into the ultimate battle between good and evil, their fallen angel savior is the only thing that stands between them and eternal damnation.
Can't not wait for another in the Fallen Angels series. Jim Heron my favorite good guy puts it to Devina one more time!! Keep it coming!!
Really good, as usual
Sucked in, like always! Watch out for missing breaks between sections. One plot runs right into another more than once and it threw me before I realized, “oh wait, we’re back to Jim...” or whoever. Just like solider in the last one, instead of soldier, each book has a glitch. But regardless, always a good read. Devina is really ticking me off... I’m not done yet but I hope she gets her just desserts. I really wish I had known about BDB and this series at the same time. I think it would’ve been better to read both series in tandem rather than separate. They tie together and follow the same timeline. I like the cameos by the brothers but I can’t remember who did the attack discussed in this book... it was in one of the BDB books. Ah well. Still good.
I enjoyed this one just as much, if not more than the others. thank you
