Epidemics

One of the most famous texts on epidemics is by Hippocrates, who was a Greek physician in the 5th century BCE. He is often considered the father of medicine, and his text on epidemics is one of the most important early works on the topic. In it, Hippocrates discusses the nature of epidemics, their causes, and how to treat them. He also makes a number of important observations about the way that diseases spread, which are still relevant today.
