“Is Tarshish a big city?” Jonah asked Shaphat as they lay on wooden beds for paid passengers after dinner.
“It is. It’s the center of commerce in the region. That’s why ships bring goods from other nations to be sold there. There are so many rich people in Tarshish. Commerce is good,” Shaphat replied.

“What about gold?”
“Yes. The ships also bring gold to Tarshish, and also silver,” Shaphat replied.
