Finding Love in Paradise
I loved reading Escape to the Sun by Elena Aitken, the second book in her Destination Paradise series. Ms. Aitken truly knows how to create a wonderful story between two people with one needing to figure out who she really is and the other learning to trust that he can is capable of loving another.
Heather Holt travels to the remote archipelago Bocas del Toro, Panama to manage a secluded bed and breakfast. Casa del Sol is in the middle of paradise which is exactly what she needs after divorcing her cheating husband and getting a fresh start on life. Ash Anderson has spent the last few years escaping his past and living where no one know him. He is a player, not ready for a relationship. When these two meet, work together, and flirt, the sparks fly and it is fortunate the jungle surrounding Casa del Sol weren’t set afire. I love the way Ms. Aitken taught both of them that love can actually heal a person in addition to setting them free from their past.
This was a fun and entertaining story with loveable characters that you want to support and cheer on hoping for that happy ending. The characters were well written, authentic and complex. I highly recommend this book to all readers. I truly enjoyed this book and had trouble putting it down. The story line was riveting and kept my attention to the very end. Although this book is part of a series it is a standalone story.

Where to begin to express the feelings I felt in Elena’s second book in Destination Paradise. Elena wrote a beautiful story that is set in a beautiful place. The description of Casa del Sol was amazing! I felt like I was right there with Heather and Ash in paradise. They both had their heart broken and were hiding out at Casa del Sol to overcome the heartache they endured. It was a small Bed & Breakfast owned by a very wise woman named Sherri. Ash had been there several years helping out when Sherri hires Heather to run the place for her. They were thrown together so much it became hard to hide their feelings for each other. It's so hard for me to write more without giving away too much. This book is full of love, excitement and beauty. Makes me want to book a trip to Panama right now! Excellent series Elena!
