Madilyn Rose Hunt is a brilliant technological prodigy with a chip on her shoulder. She blames herself for the accident that killed her parents. Madilyn solemnly assumes the role of CEO over her father's company. Her latest creation, the HMPD, is a piece of technology so revolutionary and groundbreaking that it attracts the attention of the FBTA, the technological arm of the U.S. government. 


Collin James, a veteran FBTA agent is sent to monitor Hunt's activities in regard to her new creation, and investigate the deaths of her parents.


Hunt and James form an uneasy partnership as they clash over ideologies and how her device will be used. They not only have each other to contend with, but murder and intrigue as well.
