Great Beginner Book!!!
I am 25 and just picked up the violin. I used the Essential Elements books when learning to play the clarinet in school, so thought this would be a good place to start.
The instructions are very clear and informative. Great for beginners who don't know anything about music. Even if I didn't know how to read music and basic things like time signatures and clefs, I would have found it very easy going through this book. I also love how they have the audio files right next to the song, and how it goes through the song twice, once with violin (so you can hear how it's supposed to sound) and then again with just accompaniment. I'm very happy with this purchase and the price is better than some of the other options out there!
