What is it with Everest Base Camp?
Why do so many people, every year, train for months and then trek to the base of the world's highest mountain?
What is it like anyway? Is it only for mountaineers and tour groups?
Everest Base Camp is just breathtaking. Both the view, the achievement and the journey there. The terrain, which I envisaged to be mostly snow, transforms with the journey. it is something I will never forget, for many reasons, and the stillness I found on the earthen path , is still there in my core.
This is the journal of my trek.

Nothing Good About Trip?
The author focuses on the negative aspects of the trip - hygiene, aches and pains, cold weather. Tells us nothing positive i.e. about the scenery or exhilaration of the Himalayas, seeing Everest for the first time, the feeling of accomplishment etc. She also neglects to tell us the time of year that she hiked despite referencing repeatedly what she was wearing and how cold it was. It would be helpful for people planning a future trek to know. She also doesn’t tell us the year, this would be helpful as accommodations are continuously improving.
