Every Day Is A Snow Day!
I am an SLP and I downloaded "everyday is a snow day". I knew it would be great because Joan is a pioneer in the AAC field! I started reading it today with several students who use speech generating devices, although every child would benefit from reading this book. Speech generating devices included: iPad with touchchat gateway, touchchat with wordpower, and wordpower 100 on Dynavox Maestro. It was fantastic! We talked about "snow", "cold", "big","little", "baby", "mom" and colors, "blue" and "white" (so far). Great book to target concepts, answer wh questions, and participate in reciprocal reading! I love the photography too!
Penguins
The penguins are really cute and hilarious :) mom said the pictures make her want to go to Antarctica. I'd rather stay at home as just look at pictures instead.
