Be careful what you wish for...
Iza's love life is a disaster. All she wants is to meet a nice guy to settle down with, but it seems they're hard to come by these days, and she can barely make it through her dates in one piece. At this rate, she'd be lucky if a man just magically appeared out of thin air.
To Iza's shock, a stranger with a devilishly sexy smile and an insufferably carefree attitude suddenly turns up in her flat claiming to be her personal wish-granter. Willing to play along, only if to get Beckett out of the way, she wishes to find her dream boyfriend - her modern-day Mr Darcy.
The next thing Iza knows, she's being thrown into the path of a tall, dark and handsome stranger by the name of Darcy. Never one to let an opportunity go to waste, she decides to give love another try and sets her sights on wooing this mysterious gentleman.
But with Beckett always around, helping her every step of the way, could Iza see her heart being pulled in a different direction?
Sparks are flying in this unmissable, frenemies to lovers romantic comedy that sees Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice reimagined for the 21st century with a magical twist inspired by Disney's Aladdin. Perfect for fans of Tessa Bailey, Ali Hazelwood and Lucy Score.

PUBLISHERS WEEKLY
Bright debuts with a half-baked homage to Pride and Prejudice. Jane Austen–obsessed architect Iza almost has it all—including a job she loves, a supportive best friend, and a cat—but she longs for romance. Her intimidating, controlling, and fiercely independent single mother, the cartoonish villain of the piece, is near fanatically opposed to Iza's desire for male companionship, leaving Iza desperate for a boyfriend her mother will approve of. She gets some help in this endeavor when she shakes a bottle of nail polish and handsome Beckett, a genie, appears. He's there to grant her three wishes, though he makes clear from the start that they may come with strings attached. Iza's first wish ("for a twenty-first-century version of Mr. Darcy") kicks off a long, strange journey of self-discovery as Iza is torn between Mr. Darcy, who may not be as dreamy as she hoped, and Beckett himself, whose frat guy exterior hides a heart of gold, but who Iza suspects may be "the Wickham" in her version of Austen's plot. Humor and real chemistry between Iza and Beckett are highlights, but Austenites will quibble with Bright's cynical take on Darcy and Iza's romantic flip-flopping makes her a frustrating heroine. It's a rocky start.
