Publisher Description
Don’t sleep with your brothers’ best friend…
Silas Sharpe is enemy number one—my biggest competitor and my brothers’ best friend.
Seeing an opportunity to “spy” on the offerings at Chesapeake Resort under the guise of attending a “friend’s” wedding, I took it, dragging my best friend and my brother with me.
When Silas cornered me in a utility closet during the wedding reception, I finally succumbed to the years of pent-up frustration and hate, giving in to my baser instincts.
This was supposed to be a onetime thing, but in true Silas Sharpe fashion, he refused to give up until he had the one thing that had eluded him for years—me.
He played the game well, offering me a chance to plan a high-end wedding at his resort—something I’d always wanted. But I refused to trust in the relationship growing between us, knowing that, as my competitor, Silas would capitalize on any moment of weakness, leaving me to pick up the pieces.
As time went on, Silas showed me that I could relinquish a little of the control I’d held on to for so long. That there was more to life than just work.
But what happens if I let go?
If I’m not careful, I’ll lose more than just my business to Silas. I’ll lose myself, too.

Okay
In some ways, I liked the book. In other ways, it was annoying (mostly her). Her brothers also were annoying as they didn’t stand up for their sister and they seemed grateful that the male lead would stand up for her so that they didn’t have to. Grow a pair, please.
Everything about you
While the characters were nicely fleshed out, the storyline was repetitive and dragged out. The female lead can’t get out of her own way and it’s her female friends that have to think for her and then convince her they are right. There were so many sex scenes and nothing but another reason the female lead wasn’t as strong and decisive as the writer was attempting and failing to write her.
Skimmed the repetition of sex scenes and then just skipped to the end when it became boring and no longer entertaining.
Meh
May be some spoilers in this review:
I had several issues with this book. My main issue with this was that the FMC didn’t trust and was scared of love… that’s the only issue keeping her away from the guy and it’s like 200+ pages of “he’s being sweet, but I can’t trust him.” Every moment they have is painted over with her “fear of falling in love”. It gets annoying. It’s not even a seriously, legitimate, reason of having this fear. Just having her heart broke in the past. Anyways my other issue was that the VERY beginning of the book starts out with him getting hot and heavy with her… but this was an enemies to lovers book. The “enemies” part was barely there. There wasn’t even a legit reason for them to be enemies. Their banter wasn’t even fun. It was weird, because they “hate” each other personally but they also are hot for each other. Like what? The “brothers best friend” approach to the story was also weird and annoying.. like, you’re a grown woman. Why do you care if your brothers have an opinion on who you date? And also.. why is dating a brother’s friend off limits? Wouldn’t it be better if your partner got along with your family? I guess I just didn’t get into all of the shallow drama of this book. I did finish it though. It was good enough for me to make it through the book.
