Evil Walks Among Us

There is evil within us all.  A few can resist but many will succumb.  In a classic tale that draws from legends of the East, Doctor David Wilmont, a noted surgeon visits China and comes face to face with an evil more ancient than Dracula and more monstrous than Frankenstein's creation.  The black magic Gu gives rise to a force of pure corruption that poisons anyone that comes into contact with it by feeding off their darkest desires.  The story unfolds through a series of texts, emails and journals that chronicle the return of this primordial evil in the modern day with chilling illustrations by comic book artist Chi Wang. 


Pulled from various sources, the Curse of Ge chronicles the events in a town that had been damned for decades.  When Dr. Wilmont visits this town, he can feel the evil surrounding him and his colleagues begin to rise again and investigates.  The story focuses on present times into the rule of Mao Zedong in post war China but its origins date back to the distant past, in the times of Empress Jiao.  The evil known as Gu will take whatever shape it needs to in order to survive in each era.  For those trapped in the cycle of revenge and terror there will be no escape.  If the poison is unchecked, it will give rise to an eternity of evil.
